Hello everyone! I am a sixth-year graduate student in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese working on Contemporary Iberian Cultures. In my research, I focus on Spanish popular culture during Franco’s dictatorship; in particular, on the representation of child stars in media and film (1956–1974). I am originally from the former Czechoslovakia, but before coming to Princeton I lived, studied, and worked for many years in Vienna, Austria. My main non-academic interests comprise music, photography, reading, traveling, and foreign languages. So far, I am fluent in nine, but I hope to learn some more before getting my Ph.D. I absolutely love dogs, so every now and then you may see me walking my best friend Bagel on campus. I look forward to meeting you all and sharing a cup of coffee with you!
