I studied piano as an undergrad, but took a German course to fulfill the requirement at my college -- and ended up studying that in grad school instead. My initial research was in German literature, but I came to realize that my true passion lies in language teaching. With that in mind, I did some post-doc graduate work in Second Language Acquisition, and came here shortly after that to develop the German language program -- including mentoring graduate student AI's and developing digital resources for language learning.
