Bio/Description

As your Dean, I’m excited to help you succeed academically here at Princeton.

Before becoming your Dean I was Director of Studies, at Whitman. Previously, to that I was an Assistant Director, Science Education with the Council on Science and Technology and a Lecturer in the Molecular Biology Department, so I know something about learning at Princeton from a pedagogical perspective.  I also served as a faculty adviser at Butler College.  Please do reach out to me with any academic questions or concerns.  You can make an appointment using my Calendly (link is external) calendar or just stop by the office, and I hope to meet many of you around Whitman!

Before coming to Princeton, I earned a B.S. in Biology from The College of New Jersey.  I earned my Ph.D. here at Princeton, in the Molecular Biology Department, with a focus on investigating the assembly of the outer membrane of Escherichia coli through genetic methods.  Having grown up just outside of Philadelphia, I am a big fan of all Philadelphia sports, especially ice hockey and the Flyers, and am an Academic Athletic Fellow for the Men’s and Women’s Ice Hockey teams.  You will certainly see my husband, kids, and I at a game or at College Night in the Whitman Dining Hall, so please stop and say hi!  When I’m at home, I enjoy playing with our children and our pets, baking, and gardening.

I’m looking forward to getting to know you all, and welcome to Whitman!
